Living finishes

Supreme Metal Finishing patina finishes are all produced by hand, one part at a time. These finishes are not coated with lacquer, they are coated with only paste wax. Living finishes are not to be confused with superficial finishes that are not handworked but yet lacquered with a tinted coat or a clear lacquer coat.

Living finishes will change with time as nature takes its course it will lighten up where frequently touch and darken where not touched. This is desirable and unique, giving each piece its own character. Hand oils and acidic fluids such as cleaning products will tamper with the finish. Any type of abrasive pads will damage the finish if used.

finish maintenance

Supreme Metal Finishing recommends to use clear paste wax such as butchers wax. Apply the wax with a clean lint free cloth, Coat the part gently, once the wax hardens, buff the waxed part. In fact wax protects more than oil coats, specially for surfaces that are frequently being touched.

Do  not use any cleaners with ammonia, bleach, detergents, vinegar or solvents, Never use any abrasive pads, abrasive cloths, abrasive brushes or sponges.

notice

It is the customers responsibility to inspect for any finish defects before any installation. Supreme Metal Finishing does not warranty any finishes after the parts have been installed.
